Q: If I call you, what information can I expect you to ask of me?
A: In the beginning, we will ask you a lot of questions about your event to ascertain where you are in the planning process and to help you define your entertainment requirements. We’ll also do a lot of listening to you and what you want your event to include. 

Basic information we will need includes:

• Date of your event
  
• Address and location where the event will be held. Type of venue, if not a private residence (e.g., office building, hotel conference room, auditorium)
  
• Nature of your event (e.g., party, wedding reception, special occasion, business function)
  
• Number of people you expect at the event
  
• Role of the entertainment (will entertainment be a primary focus at the party or just provide background ambience?)

Q: What kind of entertainment is available?

Q: Why don’t you have entertainment costs on your website? 
A: Prices of different entertainment concepts vary in different areas of the country, and different types of entertainment have different kinds of fees. We want to provide you with meaningful information, so we avoid giving wide ranges of possible prices. Instead, we promise to provide a quote to you as quickly as possible once we confirm the parameters of the entertainment needed for your event.

Q: Why should I pay for entertainment?
A: Many times in the party planning process, people consider the costs of the location, food and drink, and then add in the cost of the entertainment. Having been in the party business for multiple decades, we have found that guests at your party will forget the food and drink you serve. They may use the location as a mental reminder that the party actually happened. But your guests WILL remember how much fun they had. Entertainment is the biggest influence on how much fun your guests will have!

Q: How much should I expect to pay for entertainment?
A: Some musical acts perform for a selected period of time (e.g., 3 hours) and charge a flat rate. Other, such as caricaturists and face painters, have a per hour rate. A general rule of thumb, as in other service industries, is that the more people needed for the entertainment, the more expensive the act will be.
Rates will also vary by the type of entertainment you select. The more specialized an act or the higher its demand, the more expensive it will be. Some instruments are also pricier, e.g., a harpist will generally charge more than a guitarist (harps are harder to transport, and there are fewer harpists available!).
Finally, rates vary around the country. Locations such as Washington, D.C., with a higher cost of living usually have higher rates for entertainment, too.

A: Yes. We can assist you in finding any national act you require. 

Q: How do I know the entertainer you book for my event will actually show up?
A: We’ve been in business for over twenty years, and we plan to be around for at least the next twenty years, as well! With a solid track record in the entertainment field, we’re no fly-by-night operation that might fold up before your event.
Our entertainment specialists are available by phone, email, and fax around the clock to serve you. These specialists schedule your entertainment when you contract with us. They also confirm with the entertainer(s) in the week of your event to make sure everything is set for your big day. This process helps ensure that your entertainment is there when you need it.
If there is a problem, e.g., the entertainer is later in arriving than you expect, you can always call your entertainment consultant for help. Oftentimes the entertainer is stuck in traffic or lost, and the entertainment consultant can reach them, provide additional information, and let you know. If there is a last minute problem, such as illness, your entertainment specialist will schedule another person to substitute from our large pool of entertainment resources. We’re committed to your satisfaction.

Q: What’s the next step in actually scheduling the entertainment? 
A: Talk to your entertainment specialist about the date of your party, the hours for which you want the entertainment, the location address and ask for the agreement to be sent to you. Approve the agreement with your signature, return the agreement with the indicated payment, and you will receive a confirmation contact stating that your entertainment selection is confirmed.
